Understanding Support & Care

The state of Connecticut provides a broad array of clinical and other support services in the community. Children and families can access state-operated or state-funded community services directly or through referrals from providers in the behavioral health system.

Many of these in-home and community-based services are funded by the Department of Children and Families to support the needs of Connecticut’s children in the areas of behavioral health, juvenile justice and prevention services.
